Iguatu is a Brazilian municipality in the state of Ceará. Located in the Center-South region of the state, it is the main economic hub of the region.

Throughout the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, it was an important center of cotton production, setting successive national records for fiber productivity. Today, the furniture, footwear and service industries drive the city's economy. It is the birthplace of the musicians and composers Eleazar de Carvalho and Humberto Teixeira, as well as Bishop Mário Teixeira Gurgel.
